How Universal is Psychology?
[Western-based] scientists implicitly assume that many of the phenomena that we analyse are to a great extent universal. When [non-Western based] scientists find that for isnatnce a psychological mechanism might not work in various cultures then it might be quickly classified as a “special case”.
